The title translates A Game in Hell.
This book "by progressive Russian artists and poets, made between the revolutions of 1905 and 1917, aimed to overthrow conventions of art and society simultaneously. [Its] makers believed that art and language needed to become immediate and real—part of everyday life—and as a result [this] Futurist book [was] willfully made with cheap materials, and appeared purposely unrefined, as if it were [a] product of wild and primitive behavior." (from http://www.artic.edu/aic/collections) A full translation of the poem was commissioned by this collection. The translator was Eugene Ulman |
