In the third point on his introduction, Harris writes "The aim of 'Angry Penguins' is not license but liberty for the writers, so that, far from being the medium for anarchic experimentalism, the work in this book tends towards a metrical disciplining. Just as in society, fulfillment arises from a compromise between liberty and authority, so that art which integrates organically the tradition and milieu of its nature with the subjective experience and reactions of the poet, will be that which is valid for its age."
This is the first issue that carries reproductions of contemporary art works. |
